These Poinsettia Fabric Bowls come in 2 sizes. Each Poinsettia Fabric Bowl is made up of 4 sides and a base. Each side has an Applique Poinsettia. The sides and base are quilted and lined in the embroidery hoop.
The variety of shades of red and green fabric for the poinsettia on each side panel of the bowl is interesting and elegant. I used similar depth of shades of the green and red fabric colours to make each poinsettia.
The satin edging of the applique is matched to the fabric. The stitched detail on the leaves is done in a darker or lighter thread to the fabric for added realism and texture.
The panels and base are stitched together either by hand or sewing-machine using a zig-zag stitch. A few hem stitches near the corners at the top edge completes the Poinsettia Fabric Bowls.
