The 4 unique rose designs are done in an openwork technique. This gives a modern and crisp look. As the background fabric shows through I used a white fabric to compliment my thread choice. The sashing is done using the sew and flip technique and is quilted in the hoop.
This design is created in the hoop, making it a fun and satisfying project for both beginners and experienced embroiderers. Each block is stitched and quilted directly in your embroidery machine, with simple assembly using a standard sewing machine.
This table runner is straight forward to make, but it has a fair number of hoopings for the sashing that stitch out extremely quickly. The beautiful quilting on the sashing is done in gold metallic thread.
The fun with this project is that the blocks can be arranged to make a table runner, placemats, mug rugs, a hanger or used in a quilt, cushion cover panels etc.
